Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii)

Also known as Karite butter or African butter, this butter comes from the nuts of the Mangifolia tree in Central Africa.  It is high in triglycerides and has 5% fatty acids, 8% unsaponifiables, and 7% waxy esters.  This Shea Butter was made in the traditional methods by the women of Ghana, West Africa.  There were no un-natural chemicals used in the manufacturing process, just a hands-on, time-tested process.  You'll find this to be aromatic, slightly cocoa-like scented when first applied, the scent dissipates quickly.   Our butter can be used fresh right from the bag, or mixed into your favorite natural beauty recipes.

Shea Butter Soap

This all-natural soap was also manufactured in West Africa by a woman that makes her Shea Soap the old-fashioned way, without harmful chemicals.  The Shea Butter in the soap makes this soap a bit more moisturizing than the Black Soap, due to the excess Shea.  This soap makes a fabulous facial cleanser when mixed with a hydrosol or water in a dispenser bottle.  It's a creamy consistency, similar to a creamy cleanser, but without the heaviness.  Pressing the soap into bars is also a great way to go.  You may also want to add some essential oils to add a lovely scent to your finished soap.  This is truly a clean, magnificent soap used either by itself, or blended into your own soap recipe.
