Black Soap (Also known as Anago Soap or Alata Soap)

Black soap is a pure and gentle soap that has been made and used in Africa for thousands of years. The soap that we sell was made by a women's co-operative in Ghana, West Africa. The soap is handmade in the traditional method, using only two ingredients, Cocoa pods and Palm oil. The oil is cold pressed, which helps to retain its wonderful natural properties. 

Your soap will arrive as you see it above, crumbly, and ready to be made into bars.  Another option is to just add your own water or hydrosol to the soap in a dispenser bottle.  This makes for a wonderful liquid soap.

Please keep in mind that this is a perishable product, so keep small amounts handy for use.  Keep the unused in the fridge in an airtight cannister or bag.
